To promote more teams being entered by the local clubs and to improve playing time in youth
lacrosse the league will allow a large team to split into two teams. An ‘A’ and a ‘B’ team must be
declared with each team declaring at least 8 girls rostered on each team. The lower team can have
up to 10 girls rostered on both teams. Note this rule is NOT to stack a roster with your best players
playing in both the ‘A’ and ‘B’ games. If the league determines that a team has violated the spirit of
this rule then the league can force a club to roster a girl(s) on one team only. Note this does not
preclude up to 4 younger guest player(s) from a lower age division from playing up as this league is
a developmental league. (For example up to 4 5/6 players could be added to a 7/8 roster to round
out a team.)”
The players that are playing up must be from the same division or below. 3rd/4th, 5th/6th and
7th/8thB players can guest play on another 3rd/4th, 5th/6thand 7th/8thB respective teams within
the same KCMGLA member club.
Players can guest play up only in the following manner:
Guest Player -- -> Guest Team
3rd /4th -- -> 3rd /4th
5th/6th -- -> 5th/6th or 5th/6th -- -> 7th/8th.
7th/8th B -- -> 7th/8th A.
Under no circumstances is it permitted for a 7th/8th A player to ‘play down’ and guest play on
7th/8th B.
The intent of this proposal is to maximize the number of teams that can be entered creating more
playing time for the girls.
